The Carter Family ~ Rare & Unissued Sides (1962-1984)

This is one I put together myself. I got these tracks from CD's when possible as well as mint condition vinyl 45's and two came from cassettes. Two of the tracks came from the Time-Life LP box set on The Carter Family. This of course consists of tracks by Maybelle and her daughters and one track by Sara & Maybelle Carter. The software I use to convert the WAV files from my vinyl transfers and other projects doesn't save the tags in FLAC files so I went in and manually edited tags to these like I usually try to do with projects with lots of tracks. I worked really hard on this one, as I'm a completest when it comes to the Carters. Enjoy.

A couple of years back, Gulf Coast Records started releasing digital remasters of Mega Records catalogue and this included all of Sammi Smith's Mega albums aside from the compilations. They all actually sound like they were sourced from master tapes or at least very good copies of them. I bought them all in HD FLAC and shortly after that, they pulled them from all digital music vendors. Luckily, I backed all the files up. Sammi Smith is in my top 5 most underrated female country vocalists of all time. Frank Luther & Zora Layman ~ Songs of Old New York (1650-1906) [1939]

Decca Album No. 47 with Frank Luther and his wife Zora Layman with the Century Quartet singing New York folk songs. Just a cool album I had high quality transfers of all the discs. Even though Frank Luther is considered by some to be an old-time country singer, I definitely consider him to be more pop than anything. Enjoy.
